This helmet came with a leather chinstrap.
I found information that after the war many South African helmets ended up in Greece, I think it is possible this helmet was used by Greece and the leather chinstrap is Greece.
Most of the green paint on this helmet is gone and the original sand color can be seen again.
The liner of this helmet is English it shows CCL 11 1945.
CCL = Charles Collett Ltd.
At a certain moment South Africa started to use English liners.
Greece also manufactured their own liners but I do not have one yet in my collection.
