1935 Public company was formed to acquired Briggs Bodies and the benefits of the patents, rights to designs, etc in Britain of Briggs Manufacturing Co of Detroit which manufactured for Ford and Chrysler. 4,500 employees. Manufactured also for Austin, Riley, Chrysler, Standard [1]
WWII Manufactured parts for the De Havilland Mosquito
1951 Together with Austin Motor Co. Ltd., Ford and Pressed Steel Co Ltd., Briggs provided additional capital for British Indestructo Glass by taking up an issue of debentures which gave them voting control.
1953 Acquired by Ford.
This helmet has been reused after the war by Belgian Army.
It has been painted in the typical green used by the Belgian Army and received a Belgian made liner.
