My helmet has been reused after the war by The Netherlands and has been refurbished for use by the civil defense or "Bescherming Bevolking".
If you want to read more about the BB se: https://anderetijden.nl/aflevering/588/De-BB-Bescherming-Bevolking
Many of British helmets that stayed in The Netherlands were used by The Netherlands army after WW2 and refurbished for use by the BB.
Up till now I haven't found a MKII used by The Netherlands army in its Original colors.
What can be found is many refurbished helmets who got painted green again by persons who want to make it look like an Original WW2 used helmet. This is a fact you need to know as a helmet collector.
